Rock Samphire:
Rock Samphire is a maritime plant, but also dates back to Greek antiquity as a medicinal and culinary cultivar. Rock Samphire (Crithmum maritimum) grows in the wild along sea cliffs in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic coast of Europe and the Black Sea. It is a delicacy and cooked as side dish like asparagus. It has a salty taste and gelatinous texture.
