It has been in the family for generations and came from Riardo, Italy, in the Province of Ceserta. The family named it for its surprising similarity in appearance to a monkey ass, with a tight cat-facing bullseye at the blossom end which resembles a sphincter, and two globe like chambers on either end resembling a right and left cheek.<\/p>\n<p>The flavor is actually quite delicious, very similar to an Oxheart tomato; thin skin, creamy velvety texture, with few seeds or juice.
