Developed by Bill Jeffers from the crossing of &#8216;Indian Stripe&#8217; and &#8216;Big Cheef F1&#8217; tomato. Initially the original crossing was done by breeder John Beidler of Connecticut. The fruits are between 6-14 ounces, brownish red and have dark shoulders. While these tomatoes weren&#8217;t stolen from Africa and brought to America, this tomato has a flavor that packs the punch of the greatest buffalo soldier with the sweetness of a dreadlock Rasta. These delectable fruits are categorized as beefsteak tomatoes and have a nice round uniform shape.
