CacaMole

Mid Season taking about 90 days for ripe fruit. The plant is indeterminate. The CacaMole tomato is a very surprising tomato with unusual texture and an even more unusual name. The fruits were sourced in Turino Italy at the farmers market. They were the only fruits without a name or price tag. We were intrigued by the fruits because they were flat and ribbed like a costoluto tomato but they were dark purple and brown with green shoulders and had the thickest dense skin. When we asked the farmer the name of the tomato he said “CacaMole”.
