“PPP” x “PPC”

Indeterminate vines produce ripe fruit mid-season in 75-80 days from transplant. “PPP” x “PPC” is the recent result of a cross made by Tad Smith of “Pale Purple Perfect” with “Purple Price”. The variety was continued to be cultivated by Carolyn Male, Craig LeHoullier, and Denise Salmon. The fruits are between 8-10 ounces of juicy black fruit and purple flesh. The epidermis is purple/black and has no discoloration at the shoulders. The flavor is complex and has a rich concentration of both sweet and acid. This tomato is often described as “intense”.
