In the 1950’s a gentleman named Gildo Pietroboni immigrated from Italy to the USA and brought these lovely tomatoes with him. He passed away in the 1990’s, but not before he gave the seeds to his son, who in turn shared them with Ferp Necciai of Pennsylvania. The seeds found their way to the SSE.
These are big red, meaty and juicy with few seeds. The flavor is fantastic!
