Black Ethiopian

This tomato was introduced in the late 1990’s by Conrad Leighton. The variety came from the Ukraine.

The Black Ethiopian tomato has dark black shoulders with green edges on a brown fruit with a yellow glow. It has a slightly acidic flavor, but a salty finish and hints of oregano and rosemary. This tomato stirs up a sense of mystery within my tastebuds and a calming sensation on the palate.
