Originally created by Thomas Wagner of Tater Mater Seeds by crossing four different heirloom tomatoes (one being Evergreen) with the hope of having a green when ripe tomatoes. It was introduced in 1983 and has since become a favorite of gardeners, and gourmands.
The fruit is small to medium plum sized, with green and yellow stripe flesh. The flavor is tart and tasty, while the texture is juicy.
