Hawaiian Sweet Hot Pepper

Similar in size to the popular Jalapeño, the Hawaiian Sweet Hot Pepper is best eaten when fully ripe and the color red. At this point some of its heat is tamed and more of the sweetness comes out. It has been said that this might be the sweetest hot pepper, While fresh eating is the preferred way, the Hawaiian Sweet Hot is also great cooked but becomes more of a sweet pepper. Not much is known about its origin but it might be the same as the a ‘Wailua’ pepper.
