It is uncertain whether this heirloom originated in France or Switzerland. Many seed providers claim to have sourced the seeds from France, and that the fruit closely resembles an apple from Switzerland called “Rose de Berne”. As Berne is the city capital of Switzerland, it wouldn’t be a far leap to believe that this tomato variety actually was discovered in Berne.

The fruits are uniform and round. They are small to medium sized red / pink fruit filled with delightful and juicy flavor. The main flavor is sweet but not sugary and over the top. There are high notes of flowers and honey. The only thing I can say is that this tomato just makes me smile when I eat it.
