The Long John Tomato might just be the oddest tomato out there. Extremely elongated fruit, that came about by the crossing of different pear tomatoes, and is considered a paste tomato. They are very mild in flavor, and are really grown more for the novelty factor. The plants do not grow to be terribly big, but the verdict is still not in as to whether it is determinate or indeterminate. Allow for 48 days from transplanting for first harvest.
