Green Bell Pepper Tomato

The sister of brown flesh tomato, whose lineage can be traced back to Tom Wagner’s Brown Derby Tomato mix. This is a duly fun tomato! It is green and yellow striped when ripe and in the shape of a bell pepper. The young fruit are not hallow, but as the season progresses, it is a suitable tomato for stuffing. The shape holds well. The flavor is earthy, savory, and classic old fashioned tomato, yet mild at the same time. It doesn’t have high notes of sweetness or an acidic burst, but what it does have is a long beautiful aftertaste that stays with you for a long time after your last nite is gone. The best way to describe the aftertaste experience is as if you have just finished a perfectly satisfying meal and you don’t want dessert because you want to enjoy and savor the aftertaste of your dinner. A very unique experience!
