Aunt Ruby’s German Green tomato is an heirloom from the garden of Ruby Arnold from Greeneville, Tennessee. It was first seen in the Seed Savers Exchange yearbook in 1993 by Bill Minkey. It has become one of the most popular green when ripe tomatoes among gardeners.
The fruits are green with a yellow glow and have a pink blush at the blossom tip. The shape is round.
Aunt Ruby’s German Green is said to be sweet, spicy, earthy, and tart.
