Late season, about 95 days. Indeterminate vines. The 1884 is a wonderful old heirloom tomato discovered by James Lyde Williamson in a a pile of flood debris in Friendly West Virginia from the Ohio River in the year 1884. This was one of Gary Ibsen’s favorite tomatoes, which he planted every year. The fruits are dark pinkish purple and range between one and two pounds and pack a huge tomato flavor of the old world.
