Shah tomato

The Shah Tomato is described as a  creamy-parchment colored tomato great flavor and exceptional sweetness. It was a commercial tomato introduced 1890 by   Peter Henderson. It is believed that the original Shah Tomato is a sport of the Mikado variety, but through time with cross pollination and lack of seed savings, the original Shah genetics may have all but disappeared. Some argue the authentic genetics are available, while others dispute this claim and suggest the the modern day Shah seeds are related to the Brandywine variety. Our plants were grown with seeds sourced from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds. The fruit are medium size transparent skinned tomatoes with a butter white flesh. When fully ripe, the bottoms have a pinkish blush. The plants produce well and fruits mature fast.
