The Green Giant Tomato is the first known green when ripe tomato variety having potato leaf foliage. The seeds were obtained by tomato cultivator Craig LeHoullier from Reinhard Kraft from Germany. The plant is a tall indeterminate variety that produce high yields of 1-2 pound, lime green when ripe, beefsteak, smooth, sweet and spicy fruit. The color changes from light green when ripe to an amber green as it matures. It is often described as having a melon-like, sweet flavors. The Green Giant tomato has shown strong signs of being disease resistant.
