95-110 days to maturity. Blue Kuri Squash (also known as Blue Hokkaido) is an open pollinated Japanese Kabocha type of squash cultivated for its long shelf life. Typical of Kabocha squash, Blue Hokkaido squash is flat and has a special blue and grey skin with golden flesh. It can be used in dessert as well as in savory/sweet menus. It tastes great just with butter or added to curry. It is delicious and powdery and tastes great eaten with the skin.
