Dill (Anethum graveolens) is a popular herb in the celery family used extensively throughout Europe and is grown as an annual plant. The leaves and seeds are used from such wide methods including pickling brines, stews, and in salads. My favorite way to use dill is in chicken soup with carrots and celery, but it also tastes great steeped in rice with butter.
