Italian Flat Leaf Parsley (Petroselinum crispum) native to the central and eastern Mediterranean, southern Italy, and even the northern tip of Africa. Today it grows abundantly in Europe and is a favorite garnish to meat and vegetables. The best steak I have ever had was perfectly grilled and served with a sprig of parsley and nothing else.
