The Akoko Mesa Basil is a staple ingredient in Chicken dishes because of its strong flavor which they love in their chicken and is a distinct flavor of their cuisine. The name “Akoko Mesa” translates to “Chicken Dance” in English. Medicinally, this basil has been used in Ghana as a home remedy for diabetes and helps lower blood glucose.
