Indeterminate, regular leaf plant with fine foliage, ripens fruit in 90 days.
Originally From Palestine, Ohio. and introduced to the Seed Savers Yearbook in 1986 by Nick and Alice Rini. The plants produce large 10-30 oz. fruit that are red and slightly elongated oxheart shaped.
The flavor is excellent, the texture is meaty and juicy with few seeds. The fruits are excellent for drying or fresh eating, or sauce. They are supposed to be blossom end rot resistant. It is a larger fruiting tomato that has almost a drought tolerant ability to go without water for long periods while thriving in extreme heat.
The fruits are heart shaped and contain lots of juice and high sugars. The Palestinian tomato is excellent as a fresh eating tomato, salad addition, or good for juice.
