Sikkim Cucumber

,

The Sikkim Cucumber is an heirloom native to the Himalayas. It is named after the Indian northwestern state “Sikkim”. The flowers of the Sikkim cucumber plant are larger than your typical cucumber flower and the fruits are unusual in appearance. The skin is brown and cracked and resembles a potato or sneak skin. Don’t let that keep you from eating them though. The flavor is nice and crisp and is a delight to eat as well as a good conversation piece.
