The “Tokyo Green” (Cucumis sativus) made its way from China during the Meiji era and made its way to Japan where it became popular in Tokyo. This variety is very good at resisting powdery mildew and do well in hot climates, The fruits are about 8-10 inches and and have thin and tender skin and few seeds.
