This variety had a Russian origin and is believed to be the same as Chernomor, which is Russian for “Black Sea Man”.
The fruits are brown with green shoulders, the inside is red and the seeds are covered in green gel.
The flavor is rich, earthy, sweet, and salty, with a balanced aftertaste.
