Mid season indeterminate Dwarf variety 80 days to first ripened fruits, part of a breeding projet by John Beidler from Connecticut. The Jackass is a result of crossing the “Red House Free Standing”tomato with the “Cherokee Green”. The fruits range from 6-12 ounce  and are flattened and ribbed at the top with bumpy shoulders. The green flesh have small seed cavities and have the special sweet flavor of Green When Ripe tomatoes. The Jackass is best eaten “al dente” to avoid the flesh becoming too soft and flavoreless. Fruits are small, beefsteak shaped, the skin is green and sweet with a light amber blush at full ripeness.  The Jackass is perfect for in ground or container gardening.
