65 days or more for mature fruit. The Lemon Cucumber is an old heirloom boasting round  golf ball sized yellow fruit that resemble lemons. It was brought to the United States in 1894. According to Baker Creek, the lemon cucumber was once sold by snake oil salesman as a cross breed between an orange and a cucumber. While visually convincing, it isn’t true, but a good story. The flavor is mild sweet and the plants produce high yields all season. If you live in colder regions this is a great option for you.
