Roma VF

While the Roma tomato is a well known variety that is often associated with mild flavor, this variety was purchased from a seed vender at the Marcat de la Boqueria in Barcelona.

Unlike the Roma’s found at the local grocery, these fruit are loaded with flavor. These plum tomatoes are commonly used for canning and tomato paste, but are perfect for snacking on in the garden if you want to experience true tomato flavor. It is a rich dark red fruit with a smokey/ash-like shading. The flavor tastes just like the tomato leaves smell.
